In my opinion the pictures tell me more about a topic. Pictures can show us emotions, feelings, richness or porverty.
The statistics are effective to see facts.

Well,
your opinion is your opinion and there is almost nothing to say about. How does it come to do such a comparison? Tell us a little bit more about the surroundings for such a comparison. Pictures can show us mathematical results, they can contain graphs but it can also be the famous "Mona Lisa" which is difficult to compare to statistics.
